19 Wells
19 Wells Street, W1
This Grade II listed Art Deco building boasts stunning architectural features and a fascinating history. Originally built in 1929 by the iconic wallpaper and fabric design company Sanderson to house their design studios, offices, and showroom, it later became the headquarters of Columbia Pictures in the 1960s.
Thoughtfully recrafted, Nineteen Wells Street offers a modern workplace full of period charm. Each self-contained office features meeting rooms, a contemporary kitchen, and carefully designed workspaces. The striking Crittall windows flood the offices with natural light, while the shared roof terrace offers a breath-taking escape with sweeping views across London.
This Fully Managed workplace has been carefully refurbished to include a brand-new welcome lounge and reception area, along with dynamic breakout spaces, a coffee bar, and a shared 16-person boardroom.
SODA Studio inherited a stripped-back, blank canvas when tapped by Great Portland Estates to deliver its new city-centre workspace. This allowed the studio to bring back certain Art Deco design principles, drawing inspiration from the district’s rich legacy of art and craftsmanship while also incorporating its own contemporary touches –not least of which is the glossy, raspberry-hued spiral staircase connecting the two floors."
