Brief: The relationship with BBH spans over 20 years and they have introduced us to other important clients over these years, including i-level, and Dare Digital.
Their current headquarters in 60 Kingly Street was acquired in 1995 and we have carried out rent reviews or lease renewals over this whole period – the most significant being the lease renewal in 2010 when a three year rent free period was agreed, together with a rent review mechanism which meant that at 2015 they are almost certainly the lowest rent payer within their industry in Central London, let alone in Soho.
When the final 51% of BBH’s equity was bought by Publicis, one fundamental point was that BBH insisted that they have the right to control their own property strategy until well in to the 2020’s – an accolade for Edward Charles & Partners
A further accolade came from the Landlord: an unsolicited email from the Head of The Crown Estate’s Regent Street team, David Shaw, thanking us “for all your professionalism throughout”.
